PRIVATE LABEL ARIES BEANIE

ASSORTED COLORS AS ORDERED BY CUSTOMER

Our 100% wool Aries beanie is incredibly soft, not even a little bit itchy, and will quickly become the one you reach for over and over! This beanie is made from USA-bred Corriedale, Rambouillet, and Columbian sheep; and was dyed and spun at 4th generation family-run Nebraska mill Brown Sheep Company.

Care: Hand wash, cool water, using a natural fiber shampoo (like Eucalan) and 1/8 cup white vinegar. Rinse thoroughly, add 1/8 cup vinegar to the last rinse. Roll in towel to remove excess water, lay flat to dry. Press with cool iron, if needed. May also dry clean. Do not bleach.

Brown Sheep Company stands on Mitchell, Nebraska farmland that has been in the family for over 100 years. Originally a sheep farm, then a family-owned and operated wool mill, Brown Sheep proudly carries on the traditions of perseverance, adaptability, and character. Peggy Jo Wells is the fourth generation owner and runs the mill with her husband Robert, their grown son, Andrew, and his wife Brittany. They have a state-of-the-art facility that carries out the entire process of yarn processing from roving to finished product. They use all USA-sourced fiber. This is a family who lives on the land and works in the mill every day. They create impeccable product in beautiful colors, fibers, and structures. Robert, who is a Ph.D. radiation biologist, engineered an extensive wastewater treatment system to ensure there is no environmental impact to their dye process. They are impressive, knowledgeable, hard-working, and, true to their reputation, incredibly authentic and kind. These are the people we are excited to work with and support.

This yarn is moth-proofed using a non-insecticide chemical called Ecolan CEA. It is added to the dye bath at the same time as the dyes and is “permanent” in the sense that it will not wash, rub, or dry clean off the wool. The treatment works as an insect resist agent by making the wool protein unpalatable to the wool moth larvae.
